AIDS/LifeCycle: OPENING CEREMONY & RIDE-OUT

Celebrate the Riders, Roadies, and @HomeHeros of AIDS/LifeCycle 2024 as they embark on their 545-mile journey down the California coast to raise awareness and end the stigma of HIV and AIDS!
You’ll want to arrive at the Cow Palace between 4:30 AM and 6:00 AM, where coffee and a light breakfast will be provided. Before you head into the arena, you’ll need to drop off your gear bag to your assigned gear truck.
CYCLISTS – Before you hand over your bag, make sure you have the following with you:
- Helmet
- Water bottles (You’ll be able to fill them in bike parking after Opening Ceremonies)
- Gloves
- Layers (it’s pretty chilly in the morning)
ROADIES – Make sure you’ve connected with your Roadie Team Captain for your Ride Out morning schedule; some teams leave to begin work before the opening ceremony, and some teams begin afterward. Ensure you know where you are meeting, what time you are meeting, and what you should do with your gear.
Arriving at the Cow Palace
- The main gates at the Cow Palace will open to Cyclists, Roadies and guests at 4:00 AM.
- The main arena will open at 5:30 AM.
- No vehicles will be able to access the main gate after 6:00 AM.
Opening Ceremony and Ride Out
- The main arena doors will open at 5:30 AM.
- Stretching on the arena floor will happen at 5:45 AM.
- Opening Ceremony will begin at 6:00 AM.
- Ride Out will happen immediately following the Opening Ceremony at approximately 6:30 AM.
