Welcome to the Saturday East Bay training series! This series is designed as slow ramp-up starter series for new riders but welcomes riders at all skill levels, including those who haven’t ridden a bike in years and those who may be recovering from injuries.
This week we head down to Hercules for our first break at Starbucks. From there we head through Rodeo and Crockett to the Carquinez Scenic Drive and onto Martinez. Lunch is in Pleasant Hill, which also has a BART station with an option to shorten your ride to 38-miles. From lunch we head to Lunardi’s in Danville for our final rest stop. We return to Orinda through Lafayette with an option to take BART at around mile 56. Stay with us for the extra 10 miles as we wind our way on the Lafayette/Moraga Regional Trail, avoiding the traffic on St. Mary’s Road.
The route can be found at: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31968430/
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win!
Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
