The Houston-Area ALC Training Series provides friendly, no-drop training rides to help you prepare for AIDS/LifeCycle.
Join us for a ride on all the paved trails in Terry Hershey and George Bush Parks. These parks are one of Houston’s gems! Wildlife abounds! You might even see an alligator! Restrooms and water fountains are staged along the trails. There are no places to buy food, so bring all the bike food you’ll need for the ride. The portion of the trail in Terry Hershey Park has numerous short, steep (7% – 10%) ascents and descents but otherwise is flat. George Bush Park is entirely flat with the exception of a couple of climbs over the Addicks Reservoir Dam. Because this is an out-an-back ride, riders can do the full 42 miles or something less than that.
