Dillon – East to West, or West to East

82 Miles, Rolling hills and a few steep climbs

82 miles, 3213′ of climbing. Meet at Townie Bagels at 6:30 am PDT, ride out at 7. Direction is wind-dependent. If winds from the west are low, we’ll use this route. If winds from the west are significant, we’ll use the West to East route. We’ll head down valley to Pit 1 at Starbucks in Indio. After picking up Ave 48, we’ll continue on Dillon for some tough climbs and lots of rollers. We’ll have a water stop at the Indio Hills Community Center. Then, continue on Dillon into DHS and Pit at Subway. Our final long leg takes around the north end of DHS, then out Pierson, down Worsley & back into PS via Indian Canyon & Farrell. This is a tough climbing route but still easier than ALC Day 1, so let’s get those legs ready for the big week!

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations.
