74 & Cat Cove w/ north PS extension

70 Miles, Rolling hills and a few steep climbs

70 miles, 2216′ of climbing. Meet at Townie Bagels at 7:30 am PDT, ride out at 8. Welcome to the Trudging Buddies annual ride in the desert!! This has always been a great event for both teams – lots of laughs and camaraderie. There are at least 4 ways to make this ride shorter/easier, so no excuses!! We’ll head east to Indio for our first Starbucks Pit. We’ll then head west through La Quinta and Indian Wells before our climb past The Living Desert and up the 74. We’ll pit at the top, then a long downhill takes us to Starbucks at Pit 3. Our next hill is Cat Cove, then Pit 4 at Starbucks in Cat City by Target. Our last leg takes us up the CV Link & around the north end of PS to the end of the ride at Play Lounge for more food/laughs. This is a well-supported ride with plenty of pits, TRLs and roadies. All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations.
