San Francisco – Peninsula: 33 Miles Hosted by Peninsula Training Rides

February 9 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Peninsula Ride #3

33 Miles, Rolling hills and a few steep climbs

Meet: 8:00 AM

Ride-Out: 8:30 AM

Heavy Rain Cancels

New for 2025, a monthly training ride series based on the SF peninsula. We meet on the Second Sunday of every month and are an open and inclusive group for riders of all backgrounds and skill levels. All rides are “no drop” so you’ll never be left behind. Because of our location, we will tend to do shorter rides with a little more climbing than many other ride series. We will cover some of the most iconic bay-area cycling routes as we prepare for our 545 mile journey to end AIDS.

This will be a base-building ride, both for fitness and future routes. We will ride up Crystal Springs Road to Polhemus Rd to the Ralston Bike Trail and onto Cañada Road to Woodside. Cañada Road is a weekend haven for cyclists, a beautifully scenic road that is partly closed to cars on Sundays. We will have a rest stop at a nice outdoor coffee shop in Woodside and then return, back the way we came: “”out and back””.

For the more adventurous, there is an optional climb partway up Kings Mountain through Huddart Park and down Kings Mtn Rd. It adds 5 miles and ~700′ of climbing just before the rest stop.

The RidewithGPS Route is: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49574873/

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
