Join the Chain Gang for a Sunday morning Westside ride, and explore the back streets and hills through Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Brentwood. From Helen’s Cycles on Broadway, we start with a loop down to the ocean and back along San Vicente before tackling our first climb of the day along Bellagio. After a nice descent through Westwood and a rest stop in Brentwood, we tackle our second climb of the day with the gradual incline up Bundy – followed by the fun descent back into Brentwood. Last but not least is the final climb up Mandeville Canyon, starting with a long stretch of easy grade and ramping up towards the top, including a short steep grade at the very end up to the famous “”green gate””. On the way back down, the fun and fast descent features a lot of turns, some unexpected stop signs and a relatively narrow road until we get back into Brentwood, and make our way back to the start.
This a Chain Gang ride, so no one will be left behind!
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations!
