AwesomeAhead! Season 5 Ride #9 – Auguste Rodin and the Ancient Redwoods

Few rides offer as much variety as this fun ride brings to the table. Mile 10? Stanford’s world famous Rodin Sculpture Garden. Mile 19 – a hot steamy cup of love, Mile 20-23 EDGEWOOD!, Mile 34 – the amazing Alpine Creek climb, it just gets better, better and better. Edgewood is surely the most challenging so far, the climb is all about attitude. It’s a two-mile climb that intimidates some riders, but with TRL’s there cheering you on and the love bubble of ALC, you’ll be surprised how fun it is to make this climb. At the top of the climb we’ll slide down into Woodside and we’ll tackle the Portola Loop via Tripp Road. Our second long climb takes us along the beautiful Alpine Creek. From here we’ll revisit the Arastradero Preserve – and finish up with some flatter terrain via the Central Expressway. This ride has so much stuff to see and do – it’s 55 miles of awesome.

The route is at: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/3373508/

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
