Join AwesomeAhead! (Sunnyvale) every Sunday in to incrementally increase your distance and climbing, while learning the tips, tricks, and rules of the road that will make your ALC experience unforgettable.

One of the signature rides of the South Bay – Calaveras. We’ll ride to the east bay – and through scenic Sunol Canyon – then start our way up to Calaveras Reservoir. This is a gear-down and get’er done kind of climb. Once at the reservoir – the rolling hills keep the climbing going for a few more miles before rewarding you with the steep descent back down into the valley. The SAG Drivers and TRLs will make sure you feel fully supported, as this is our first truly rural route with no real services between mile 32 and 45. This ride is the one every first-time rider remembers – and veterans look forward to every year.

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations!
